Weird resolution messup

When i boot up from a live cd, It looks horrible, The quality is awful, almost no desktop whatsoever, no icons, no background image.

Yet when i boot up in embedded, it looks fine.

How do i fix this?

I also have the same problem when booting the live cd, someone please help with this question, also, mine works fine embedded

At the very first boot prompt, press F2 and READ the boot options
also press F3 and READ the boot options. Your machine requires certain boot paramters different than the standard. After reading about the various boot options try them out. You may need

boot: dsl vga=normal

or maybe

boot: fb800x600

Instead of trying to guess what you may need, all the options are presented in the F2 and F3 screens.
