I am not a computer programmer.
Recently I had a hardware problem with my PC. When it was fixed I had a page file error. I was told to reinstall windows, but doing so would obviously erase the files i need. I was told DSL would let me access my files and put them on my pen drive for safety. I am booting from a CD. Everything is working properly. I have no idea how to access my files. HELP!?!?!?!

feel free to email at jasekj919@duq.edu

Try the command "mount  /dev/hda1".
If this succeeded, you should be able to access the windows drive through /mnt/hda1 (assuming that windows is on "C:").

right click on EmelFM to open it in superuser mode. Find the /mnt directory and double click it to reveal hda1 right click on hda1 and choose mount. The contents of hda1 should appear.

What does your /etc/fstab file look like (cat /etc/fstab)?

BTW - I think you can get the point across without the language.
