running a bash script at startupForum: Other Help Topics Topic: running a bash script at startup started by: rst Posted by rst on Feb. 24 2006,19:26
I tried adding it to the /etc/skel/.xinitrc & .bashrc.xinitrc doesn't seem to work & .bashrc only runs when I open aterm Anyone know where I can put it? Incase it helps, the script starts cupsd then installs a printer with lpadmin. Thanks in advance Posted by mikshaw on Feb. 24 2006,19:35
Since it requires root power, it should be run from /opt/bootlocal.sh
