I tried recently to copy cdrom files to the hard drive using the pre-installed file manager esomething.. its on the desktop, but the computer is upstairs so i dont know exactly what it's called. I mounted the cdrom and went in, and now i can use the files, but i want to put them on the hard drive itself. I tried to copy the files, but it says that the permission was denied. How can i get that permission?Also, i created 2 partions before frugal-grub installing it to the hard drive. I created a partion for each hard drive. one 3 gb HD, and one 4GB HD. 50mb is used by DSL, so can i get the last 6.5(or something close to that) for access, or should i change it and just create one 50mb partion, and two other partions to use the rest of the space?
Any suggestions on the 2 questions/problems would help greatly.

Right-click on the emelfm desktop icon and choose "Emelfm as super user" or choose Emelfm as Super User from the main menu.

keep in mind that DSL does not support "WRITE" access to an NTFS style hard drive partition.Windows NT, 2000, XP and 2003 are usually set up to use NTFS partitions.
DOS, Windows 95, 98 and ME are usually set up to use FAT partitions and DSL fully supports read and write for FAT partitions.
So if your computer has a NTFS partition, you will need to create a FAT or FAT32 partition in order to exchange data back and forth between the 2 operating systems.
Or you can just use other means like a USB pendrive, a floppy or even burn a CD disk.

Oh... i just used a partioning program to wipe both of my hard drives clean,and now have a frugal "grub" installation. and out of a 7gb total, i have 6.2gb free space.. with win XP, id be lucky with 2.. DSL is the best operating system i ever used for that old computer i was going to throw away.. now it runs like new!!
