I am verry new to linux and have installed the live cd on a toshiba laptop all work fine exept internet connection.
the connectio is by usb in a pcma card, mouse also in the card (has 2 usb slots) anyone can help me out?

ethernet card is a conceptronics usb stick csp480LU

Does the usb mouse work?
ie. is the problem with pcmcia-usb or with your usb-ethernet-card.

My usb-ethernet-card works fine IF it is connected when the machine is booted. :D

Cant get it to work if I connect it when DSL is already running...

thanks for this quick response I think the problem is with the ethernet card. the mouse in the same pcmcia card works well. when i boot i see the lights flasing on the card but after that he (she ) is not seen even when i try the tools provided in dsl for internet pcmcia etc.

Make sure you have DHCP set in your router, and the DHCP client loaded in DHL. If you open a terminal and type ifconfig, what do you get?
