I'm running DSL in RAM off a disk, and haven't  had any problems backing up bookmarks, configurations, and other files onto hda1. After editing bootlocal.sh,
(adding  "mount /dev/hda1", I saved the file (using Beaver) and then did a backup using the system backup program (right click on the desktop, etc.). When I shut down and reboot, the orginal file without the added line is back. How do I edit this file?  Thanks

Well, I finally got it to save the file by saving another file in Beaver (which it had no problem backing up) and then trying again to save the bootlocal.sh, which for some reason now successfully saved to disk.
