i downloaded the iso from a site mirror but my computer wont boot it it just gives a Roxio file transfer thing any suggestions.
im using a widows XP if that matter

Make sure that CD-ROM booting is enabled and before the hard disk in the boot order by check your BIOS Settings.

Note: If your computer can't boot from CDROM (old computers) you need boot from floppy disk by create a DSL Boot Floppy: Here explanation:

no my box will boot off a cd but the download only shows up as a "Easy CD Creator Image File" i dont know what to do from there

Did you burn as a image? If you just copied it to cd that won't work.

The answer is simple: You chose incorrectly a option to create your CD. The option correct that you must choose is:
"Create a new data CD" or "create a CD from an ISO image"
