Hi everyone, im new to linux, new in dsl..a complete noob. Well im booting DSL from a CD, I can backup my files, my desktop theme..but the real problem is that every time start DSL everything is fine ..there is my desktop theme but some apps like amsn, media player are gone..iŽve read the forums, the wikki..but it seems i just dont get how to save those programs, and to make them be in my desktop ready to be used everytime i start DSL. If someone can explain it to me how to make this....step by step ??

Thanks awaiting further instructions...

Make a driectory named mydsl on a persistent storage device, could be a hard drive partition, e.g., hda2, or a pendrive sda1

As user root copy the extensions into this directory, or use the emelfm file manager as super user and drag and drop the extensions into this mydsl directory.

Upon next boot the system scans for a mydsl directory and will auto load your extensions.
