Hi,

What is the easiest way to determine DSL's version number?

I've read that some of files in the KNOPPIX dir have a date that correlates to a specific version. Does anyone have this information?

What other methods are there to determine the DSL version?

I originally downloaded a file called current.iso thus my question.

Note: The boot screen nor the browser boot page give any details about the version number.

Thanks

John

System Stats will display the current version if you are booted into DSL.

You could compare checksums with those on the download server.
You could also compare file dates.  These two methods are unreliable if you have made a mydsl remaster or any other change to the iso.
