use the mount tool to mount the drive and browse it with emelfm or install rox.dsl for icon view(like windows), dir are in /mnt.

root access is gained with "sudo". right click the emelfm icon and you will see super user which is root.

to save your settings you would use the restore option. it's in the control panel(upper left) you combine that with the mydsl folder with all your extentions.

step 1. first just down load your .dsl's that you use and put them in a folder named " myDSL " these will be found and auto loaded on boot.  no special options needed for that.

step 2. your settings you would use the the> dsl restore=hd? option. you would first setup up your .filetool.lst this contains what you want to back up, in emelfm you press the little "H" to see the hidden files and folders, in rox just click the show hidden icon. you can add to this manually with beaver or use emelfm "Add2Filetool" button. now to get the restore.tgz. click DSLpanel icon then Backup/Restore button put where you want to save to and click backup. after that just type> dsl restore=(where you saved backup) and it should restore just like you had it.

you'll have to play with the backup/restore to get the hang of it. i only use the "myDSL" folder to load my .dsl's. i keep all my saved stuff on a usb key and just copy it to where it's suppose to go, it gives me more control of how much i want to load depending on which computer i'm running DSL on.
