I'm trying to ge
t to the data in the installed suse OS, from DSL. Kerry has said

"just mount it with the mount tool and browse to the partion in emelfm or install rox.dsl for a icon view type browser(like windows). remember to always unmount after your done playing with it and don't mess around with the ntfs(xp) or you'll screw it up."

Firstly I cannot find where to download rox.dsl from. Anyone know?
Secondly, I have located the mount tool, which gives me a little window the size of the end of my thumb. I press buttons untill everything I can make go green goes green, saying "mounted". That is, hda1,hda5, hda7, and not fd0 (that stubbornly stays red.) As you may tell I have no idea what these things are. Anyway I proceed and finally locate "emelfm". I tlooks strange to me with two windows but anyway, I scrabble around trying to find my windows or suse stuff and cannot at all. I go up and up (is that how to say it?) and the biggest folder I can find is only about 30kb. I can't find any of the suse or windows stuff.

Help much apprecated!
Justin

oh boy, click on the myDSL icon then apps then look for rox.dsl.info click on that then download, that installs it. after it installs launch it by right clicking the desktop then mydsl then rox and you'll see rox open and put a icon on the desktop.

i'll get back to you on the rest after i finish installing ubuntu.

after you mount the drive go to it in your file browser, it will be in /mnt. fd0 is your floppy, hda 1 thru7 is your partions on your hd(like c,d,e...). this / stands for the root of the files, everything is under this. that is where you will see /mnt.  /mnt is where all drives are kept. you only need to mount the drive you want to go into and after your done you can unmount the drive so it's not messed with.
