i run DSL from a live CD. i downloaded mplayer. i could run it then. but i could not see it after restarting. how do i save my apps?

you must save them to a permant location. for dsl create a folder called "myDSL" and put the dsl's you download in there and it will auto load. the filesystem must be fat or linux to use. when you run the live cd and see dillo pop up that's meant for you to read, those are instruction for using.

thanks kerry and yeah the last sentence was good. now i'll be careful while posting questions.
and yeah i think i've got a bit of hang of DSL.
but i still have a question.
i used backup/restore tool to backup settings to my hard disk drive. it loads all settings and mydsl apps aright but the wallpaper is different. how can i change this?

use the wallpaper tool to switch to the wallpaper you want then click ok to switch to it then click install to set it permanently. it should be picked on your next backup/restore after that.
