I'm not really sure which file to download for the DSL install.  I went to the first mirror and chose 'current' and i ended up downloading current.iso.  Is this the latest stable version of DSL that I can burn for the install?  Thanks.

Yes it is - current points to the latest DSL version that uses isolinux.
