Bootsplash progress bar

Hi everyone,

To enable bootsplash I followed these steps:
1- download kernel source 2.4.26
2- download kernelsource.dsl
3- patch the kernel with bootsplash patch
4- configure the kernel
5- compile the kernel
6- make splash command using splashutils.tar.bz2
7- create initrd file
8- point to initrd file in grub menu
9- add append="splash=silent" in grub menu to have progress bar

When I restarted, I had the logo with 1024*768 resolution, but the progress bar doesn’t appear.

How can I enable it ?
