That depends on what you want to start/stop. If you're talking about a user program, that is done after the boot process is complete. The most-used file for this in DSL is /home/dsl/.xinitrcIf you mean services (daemons), there really aren't any that start automatically in a default setup. If you want to start one of them, there are boot options you can add to your bootloader's config file, or you can add commands to start them in /opt/bootlocal.sh Posted by Airesz on July 26 2006,18:43
The only thing I wanted to really stop from loading is that thing in the upper right hand side of the screen. The thing that tells gives you info about your computer.
