When booting form a CD I have issues with lost programs. I am able to restore my setting when booting, but I am not sure where my saved document, downloaded application, and games have gone. Can anyone tell me why my files are not restored when I use the restore=sda1 command.

What would I need to do to keep my apps.

/home/dsl/.filetool.lst is the magical file. ;)
By adding lines there, backup script will backup those files to your backup device when booting.
Here's a simple way to add lines to .filetool.lst:
Code Sample
echo "/the/file/or/directory/I/want/to/be/backupped" >> /home/dsl/.filetool.lst

There is also another simple way to do this:
- open EmelFM from your desktop. Select a file you want to add to .filetool.lst
- click "Add to filetool" -button
- no more actions to perform ;)

Sometimes you might want to edit you .filetoo.lst. Ok it's a hidden file. But you can make it visible by clicking a small "H"-button in EmelFM. Clicking it will show/hive hidden files/directories.

Enough help? ;)
