i use the 3.01 version of dsl and in wonder how to enable the unionfs part. my boot options in menu.lst looks like this:

Code Sample
kernel /boot/linux24 /root=dev/hda quiet vga=791 dma host=loki

i have tried to use this line, but nothing happens:

Code Sample
kernel /boot/linux24 /root=dev/hda quiet vga=791 dma host=loki dsl unionfs

What must i do to enable unionfs ?

Once booted try the command:

listu

You should see the union of KNOPPIX and ramdisk.

when i use this as user dsl, the command is not found and when i type this as root, no message is apearing. i have installed dsl as an hd install, no frugal, since the frugal install was not working on my laptop with dsl 3.01

the only reason while in need unionfs now is, that i must have access to wine-0.9.17.unc. is there another option to mount this "extension" and then copy the content to antother place of my hd ?

A hard drive install does not need unionfs.
There is no read-only KNOPPIX and ramdisk combo
All of your filesystem is writeable.
Therefore you do not need to use .unc type extensions.
Use the corresponding .dsl version.

Ok, i have ooted now from the iso cd with the unionfs as an option, after that i have succesfully mounted the wine****.unc. i have copied /opt/win**** to my harddrive. now i have also access from my installed dsl version on the hadrdrive to the wine package...

now i have a problem with the installed internet explorer there, but this is a other thread...
