Hi

I've installed DSL in a virtual machine hosted by Microsoft Virtual PC. Everything works fine except the time keeps drifting (lags behind).

Quick google search revealed me that this is a common problem with virtual machine and we have to set up NTPD to overcome this.

Can anyone point me to how I can set NTP on DSL

Thanks in advance
Ramesh

There's ntpdate that you could try (mydsl>testing).
You could use a cron job to run this every so often automatically.

Hi,

It's a long time ago, but  I have installed a ntp daemon once.
It's mentioned in the following topic:< time synchronisation, I'm a linux newb, so this will be easy >
But this was on an older version of DSL. So I do not know if it might works on the current.
