Thumbdrive as home

How would I use a folder on my thumbdrive (/mnt/sda1/home/) as /home/dsl?
It's got all of my files in it, and all of the hidden files from the original /home/dsl folder, .xinitrc, etc.

use the boot option "home=sda1"
