Is it possible to get a Linux OS on to a USB memory sitck .... then .... boot that Linux AFTER you have already started your PC and got Windows XP running?
This would be perfect for me, so was wondering if such a thing existed or is currently being made.
Otherwise I am gonna have to buy one of those U3 Smart Drives :/

dsl-embedded offers DSL to run within qemu (which has windows and linux host support)

Alternatively there are many other virtual machine/emulator programs you can try such as products from vmware, ms (virtual pc), etc.  There's a whole table under wikipedia if you want a broad comparison.
