Hi all.

I have to compile some source so I need to install synaptic as I nned some libraries that are not downloadable as mydsl  extensions.

When I try to install synaptic it works for a while, downloading stuff from the net, but at the end wget complains about the site ftp.debian.org can't locate a file.

Anybody already solved this issue?

Thanks
Fede

Please use Synaptic.unc and dsl-dpkg.unc from the unc repository.
Both have been adjusted for changes in apt sources list.

Thanks fot your reply.

But how do I do that? Maybe I have to change in mirroselect but to what?

Thanks, Fede

To use the .unc extensions you could use the mydsl tool for example.

Open it, click the UNC button, download dsl-dpkg, do an update and download synaptic in the same way.
Now just click the synaptic icon on your desktop...
