How can i identify the version of DSL on a CD.

I got a DSL CD from a friend. He told me that it was burned from a downloaded ISO-File, which is no more on HD and therefor he couldnīt tell me the version.

I looked on the root of the CD for the index.html and found no answer. Next, at home, i booted from the CD, but found nothing about, on the desktop. Last i made a HD install but same thing - nothing about the version.
Who can help ?
