Keyboard problem in rdesktop

Hi All,

I'm progressing well with my mission to build a thin client based on DSL. DSL starts as normal but insted of opening Dillo, it opens rdesktop full screen to a virtual XP machine somewhere on my network. But I can't log on to the virtual XP because the keyboard appears inoperative. The mouse is fine, so I can cancel the rdesktop session which takes me back to the regular DSL desktop. Then I can manually start rdesktop (using exactly the same command as I've put in .xinitrc) and log on to the virtual machine. So why is the keyboard not working when rdesktop is called from .xinitrc?

Command in .xinitrc is
rdesktop -g 1024x768 -D 10.208.7.104 &

I hope someone can advise
