Hopefully these are easy questions with easy answers.

1. How do I disable the enhanced desktop feature? (All the system stats like ram and cpu usage in the top right corner that sits over the background?) I've tried right clicking, desktop, configuration and de-selecting enhanced desktop, but it doesn't remove the stats.

2. Is there also a way to disable the slit in the bottom right?

3. How can I create a custom bootsplash screen so I don't have to see all the stats while they load? I've tried adding in an image to the /boot/grub location and editing one of the files there, but it didn't seem to work for me.

I'm using x-dsl on my xbox using a native install on the F: drive. Hopefully it's not too different from the regular dsl. Looks exact same.

Thanks in advance!!

1) edit /home/dsl/.xinitrc to remove or comment the lines starting these apps.
The programs that start automatically are dillo, torsmo, fluxter (only with fluxbox), and docked.lua

2) If you have no dock apps running (docked.lua, for example), the slit will not be in your way.  You can disable it entirely in /home/dsl/.fluxbox/init

3) DSL doesn't have bootsplash. I think you'd need to remaster the KNOPPIX file in order to do this.
