Is there any way in DSL to mount the MAC portion of a win/mac CD?
I've tried various options of "mount", such as -o session=2, but all I can get to are the windows files.  (what i was intending to do with them was try them out on softpear)

was -t hfs one of the options you tried?

Yes; it said
mount: fs type hfs not supported by kernel

I couldn't insmod hfs either, not found.
Didn't see hfs on the mydsl.modules site,
or in /knoppix/lib/modules/2.4.26/fs
Googling "hfs.o" "2.4.26" got me no module either.

I'm not sure if softpear would even work on
anything yet other than its own sample files;
just wanting to try it and see....

It seems not included in the default kernel.. Compile your own?
Grab it from Knoppix 3.4 iso?

Hmm... I may just put this HFS thing aside for the moment...
(I'm not ready to compile kernels just yet, and my 24 kbaud
internet is not good for dnlding the larger iso's)

Maybe I'll try to get my printer working in DSL next,
and come back to this later.

Anyway, this is a cool forum you have here.

For some reason, I remember one of the older versions of DSL supported HFS, or atleast I think it did, maybe 0.9. And it might not be hfs, but hfs+ or hfs+_journaled.
