I have been using DSL as main linux about 2 weeks and all is ok with it
Now I'm trying to use Knoppix too and I've noted some facts ..or problems (I'm not sure if are problems):
I've both DSL and Knoppix with poors man installation Knoppix is in /dev/hda5 and DSL is in /dev/hdc2
Both have files in /dev/hda1 backup.tar.gz and all .dsl applications of DSL and knoppix.img (the /home of Knoppix) and the configurations files of Knoppix
If I use both from CD,no problems each one loads its stuff and everything goes ok
If I said knoppix: knoppix fromhd=/dev/hda5 myconfig=scan home=scan etc etc goes ok....Knoppix goes and loads /dev/hda5 ...
But if I try to said same to DSL dsl fromhd=/dev/hdc2 mydsl=hda1 restore=hda1 lang=es dma DSL instead going directly to /dev/hdc2 scans first /dev/scd0 then /dev/scd1 then /dev/hda1..../dev/hda5.... and when tryes to load knoppix image.....
I've tried this without Knoppix image at /dev/hda5 only with DSL image at /dev/hdc2 and DSL scans all devices...load mydsl but does NOT load configuration files It seems only way have DSL is to scan all devices until it founds some KNOPPIX folder...I can understand it but...why does not restore backup.tar.gz? Is there any way to do that?
Tks!
