Hello,

I have a prob.
I have a celeron 400, 192mbRAM, 6gb HDD and it is connected to the net via a cable router.  It has Win XP Pro currently on it and runs like a dog!  All I want it for is the kids to be able to use the net at a decent speed like my other pc can do through our netcomm router.  Will DSL be any good for me?  I don't need any other programs on it...just be able to use the net.

Thanks
Jester

I would say that DSL will ROCK!

I have a WinXP machine with DSL & Feather. If you do basic webbrowsing, Dillo will be very fast with your connection. I have wireless broadband and page to page in Dillo puts Explorer to shame!

You may want to upgrade the webbrowser to Firefox. It is a really nice browser with more features than Dillo.

The great thing about Knoppix is that you can try out DSL without having to committ to a hard drive install. Have fun!

Good luck!
