Hello!

I've been playing with embedded DSL and althougn I'm not a LInux user, my very limited experience is provinding me a good DSL experience.

In order to become a more regular user and to start exploring the OS I need some help to accomplish some newbie tasks.

- I want to stick with a particular system configuration (keyb, mouse, screen) and stop setting this every time I boot.

- I managed to make a backup but I don't know how to automate the backup and the restore when I boot. I know I have to deal with cheatcodes and I read about it, but couldn't find a way to enter the cheatodes in my embedded DSL.

- I setup the system/backup to hdb1 but after a powerdown the setting has gone, my files aren't in home/dsl and there is no backup there.

Hope somebody can give this Linux newbie some push (not downhill).

And, yes I read the documentation and tryed my best before posting here. But sometimes the documentation takes for granted the linux knowledge of the user. And there's not a lot around here...

Txs!

I assume embedded means running in qemu... Which version and which .bat are you running?

#1/#3 - do you actually have hdb (or hdb1 for that matter)?
#2 - edit your .bat in a plaintext editor
