use automount.app to mount ntfs partition is quite simple,
click right button on desktop,
enhance? >enhance,
the automount tool will appear at the right concer of desktop,
use it to mount your ntfs partition,
or you can just open a terminal,
type mount /dev/hdaX(where your ntfs partition is),
it will work.

Read = Yes
Write = No

If you need write support to NTFS, the only way to safely write to an NTFS partition in Linux is to use "Captive NTFS" support.

If this is a must-have, try searching for a Linux Distribution or a LiveCD that comes with "Captive NTFS" already installed.

Good Luck.

The 2.6.x series kernels have NTFS write support.  DSL won't see this support until the Kdrive and Framebuffer Xservers get some issues worked out with 2.6.x.
