I've selected a few apps from MyDSL.  When I go to the menus, I see them under MyDSL.  But when I click on the app, nothing happens.  It worked on other apps, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

It probably depends on what the application is. If it's a Gtk2 app, for example, you will need to install and enable Gtk2.

Always read the information supplied with each extension. If downloading through a browser from a myDSL repository, the file to read is the same as the package name, with ".info" at the end of the name. If downoading with the desktop myDSL installer, the info should appear on the screen when you select a file to download (you may have to choose to display it, though? I can't recall). The info file will tell you if there are extra requirements.
