I'd like to boot DSL from my USB 64mb flash drive.

I saw a topic for this, but can't seem to find it now. (it didn't work anyways...)

I have the bootusb.img and dsl 0.8.0 ISO. I also have syslinux, and am running WinXP

I copy the KNOPPIX directory from the ISO to my flash drive (H:).

I copy the contents of the bootusb.img file to H:

I use syslinux.exe -s h: (in the command prompt)

I go over to the computer that lets me boot from USB, and all it says is "boot failed".

Any help?

Thanks

1. bootusb.img is for 0.7.x version. There is a bootusb-0.8.img for 0.8.x
2. What does fdisk -l /dev/sda1 show for the partition on the usb flash drive?
3. Have you ever booted from USB from the target computer?
4. Have you tried testing by booting from the bootusb-0.8.img?
5. Have you tried testing by booting from DSL 0.8.0 cdrom using the boot option fromhd=/dev/sda1
