After mounting hda and/or floppy disks using mount.app, is it possible to then save to the hard drive (C:/)? How? How about reading from floppy disks? I'm new to DamnSmall, so please don't flame or anything, just wondering how I can get this to work, if it's even possible :P

Answer:

If C:\ is MSDOS, Windows 95/98/ME  the answer is YES you can save to the hard disk.

If C:\ is Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 the answer is NO.

Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 use the NTFS file system. Currently, the Linux disk support that is built into DSL supports read-only access to these drives.

There are other "Rescue" type Linux CDs that use something called "Captive NTFS" to be able to write to an NTFS partition.  If you search for "Captive NTFS" in Google, you may be able to find such a Linux disk.

Good Luck.
