can anybody let me know how i can set the german keyboard, so that it stays configured permanently ??

Hi there,

If you search the boards a few solutions have been given to make you keyboard choice permanent. Mine is along the lines of adding the line 'loadkeys xxxxxx' to the rc.d runtime scripts.

Found exactly what i needed on a Knoppix Forum !
