Hey all.

In new the DSL and I was hoping that you guys would be able to help me.
I downloaded 0.7.3 and am usualy running it from my ram. Im trying to install a few programs (sorry for my terminology, Im a reformed windows user). I looked up the commands I needed to install a .deb file
Code Sample
dpkg -i <package name>

but DSL says that dpkg isnt a command.
Also I thought that the apt-get command. I enabled it though App>tools etc and that also tells me that there is no apt-get command.

can someone PLEASE help me.

thank you kindly

Jace.

jace04, dpkg and apt-get don't come atuomatically installed in DSL.  You need to get the sdl-dpkg.dsl file from the < MyDSL Repository > and load that.  Then dpkg will work.  If you were connected to the internet on your machine , and it sounds like in Linux you aren't, you could also try dpkg-restore and that would load what you need.
