Does anybody know how to add new functionalities to DSL keeping the compressed format?
For example I want to add java virtual machine to DSL...

Another issue... what should I do if I want to transfer the DSL on the hard disk keeping the compressed format (I have a limit of 128 MB the OS and the applications... :( )

You have to 'remaster' to add anything to dsl. Search the forum and read the FAQ. It's easy to run compressed from hard disk. From windows or DOS just copy the whole Knoppix folder on the CD to any FAT partition. Then just use the regular boot disk and it will find the folder! Are you running on a Windows box?

No, I try to make a small Linux in order to boot from a flash. Because I have no HDD I have to try to keep the OS at the minimum amount...
