I know there are alot of places that have icons but I was wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations since people are adding icons to their .dsl files.

Usually the author will provide an icon in the /usr/share/programname folder

Other places where you can search for icons:

gnome/kde/fluxbox theme sites
sourceforge.net
google.com
