I have an old Acer 370PCX laptop and I think i have the same sound card as yours but I still can't get it to work yet. My question is where did you get the opl3sa2 driver? I don't think it is included in the DSL. Thanks.

The driver is included in DSL.You need to change the irq and dma setting by look in the bios setting. Posted by ursixc9 on Dec. 10 2003,23:14
Did you try just using 'modprobe opl3sa2' ?? That's what i did as root and it worked. I didn't put any other setting.

It did not work for me without irq and dma parameter.

I also had to add the io,dma, and irg settings, before mine would work. You guys might want to checkout my post entitled "Startup Files", with Jogi's help, I was able to write s shell script that loads it at boot. I also found out through this whole process that I didn't need one of the io's that I had been putting in the modprobe line, io=370.Joel Posted by caulktel on Dec. 11 2003,21:45
Laptop keyboards are hard to type on. I meant to say io=0x370.Joel |
