ok this is on my old computer, i just formatted the harddrive, restarted, and booted into dsl, everything went fine, i did the "enhance?" option, everything went fine, i went to find a disk, came back and the monitor was black. i turned it off/on a few times, it seemed to boot up fine, did its normal routine, but theres no display on the monitor. i check all the connections and they were all fine. i dont know what elset to do?

Screen goes blank after bootup?, or at least the first part of it:
Try:
boot: knoppix vga=normal
That may allow folks with this problem to get a little further along.
I have one of those new Dell LCD screens, and that worked for me. :;):

Thank you so much for that boot command! i couldn't even enter the boot screen before kause i have this ancient ibm monitor that wont do res over 640x480. now it works! thanx again so much! i'm a complete linux noob. but so far this distro is awesome! fluxbox rocks btw. i use xoblite on my win2k box. trying to make my windoze less windoze like. heh. anyway. again thanx a million!
