It would be helpful to post more information. What type of mouse? serial, ps2, usb. How did you try to configure? Posted by panama on July 02 2004,22:37
PS2 mouse. No special config tried. Just the intitial setup where I tell it there's no USB mouse/Scroll/3 Button.Mouse works fine but other than that i don't know where to "turn-on" the sroll function. Thanks Posted by cbagger01 on July 04 2004,00:53
I assume that you answered "YES" to the "Do you have a mouse wheel?" question during the Xwindows setup screen. Is this correct? Posted by panama on July 04 2004,16:22
Yep...sure did...on the previous (0.7.0) hdd install experiment was the same thing.thanks Posted by cbagger01 on July 04 2004,16:51
It sounds like your options are limited.(1) You can buy a cheap scroll mouse that will work with DSL. Logitech makes them for under 10 bucks. (2) You can install the "gpm" mouse server driver which will hopefully work with your brand of scroll mouse. Then configure it to work in "repeater-mode" to repeat as an Intellimouse scroll mouse (IMPS2 protocol). (3) You could install the full blown XFree86 Xwindows system and hopefully it contains a mouse driver for your mouse. However, XFree86 uses more memory and disk space. Good Luck. |
