mounting USB hard driveForum: Other Help Topics Topic: mounting USB hard drive started by: sfabius Posted by sfabius on June 19 2009,12:15
I'm trying to attach a Western Digital USB external drive to an old Pentium I machine (DSL is great for this!). It has a USB connection, but when I try to mount there is nothing there. The mount tool does not recognize it, and when I try using /dev/sda1 as the device I get "not a valid block device." dmesg shows that it is recognized, although there is a message:
I'll google that error, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. Posted by gizmomelb on Aug. 13 2009,04:31
