Hey guys, i'm really new to all of this, but i figured i'd give it a try.

I've got no problems with booting from CD or anything of the like, but i can't seem to access my hard drive mounts in XMMS, or set up my dsl modem. I don't use a network card I have an Arsecom Netdsl800 plugged into a usb port. I've tried to go into the configuration for dsl/ppoe and it says i don't have a compatible network card. I don't know really what else i need help with at the moment, but if anyone could give me some step by step instructions, like how to mount my hdd and then access the files on it from xmms, and also how to set up and use my DSL modem, if it's even possible.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure mounting has been discussed on here before, search the forum. If you don't find anything see www.tldp.org.

run enhance from the menu
on lower right side of the screen you'll see an application. it's meant to mount devices. scroll with arrows untill it shows the hd you want to mount.
then click on the strange button next to the left arrow.
if it becomes green..your hd is mounted.
then you can run XMMS
good luck
