OK, So i've got it all installed, configured and ready to go. It all boots ok and automatically starts a Citrix connection. Now, all I need to do is to bea able to clone this for other machines.... PQDI won't do it, nor will ghost 2003 (both say no partition) How can I do This? Posted by cbagger01 on Dec. 17 2003,02:03
Get knoppix diskboot knoppix Run "partimage" utility Copy partition from old hard disk to new hard disk. Posted by monkymind on Dec. 17 2003,06:23
As cbagger01 pointed out partimage will do the job ....... and Ghost for Unix is worth checking out too!< http://www.feyrer.de/g4u/ > 1. What is it? g4u ("ghost for unix") is a NetBSD-based bootfloppy/CD-ROM that allows easy cloning of PC harddisks to deploy a common setup on a number of PCs using FTP. The floppy/CD offers two functions. First is to upload the compressed image of a local harddisk to a FTP server. Other is to restore that image via FTP, uncompress it and write it back to disk; network configuration is fetched via DHCP. As the harddisk is processed as a image, any filesystem and operating system can be deployed using g4u. Easy cloning of local disks as well as partitions is also supported. |
