My *.iso won't boot at all.  The closest it's been to actually booting was when I got the error...
"Missing Operating System"
I tried burning it as *.ISO and as *.IMG and neither one worked.
Did I do somthing wrong?  Is the .iso I downloaded corrupt?
It's dsl-0.7.3.iso

To see if the download is corrupt, check the md5sum with e.g. < http://www.md5summer.org/ >

If you use Nero for burning use file -> burn image and then select dsl-0.7.3.iso.

I've used standard Windows burning, Sonic Record Now!, CDRWIN3, WINISO,  every type of burning software I have.  What exactly is the md5?  These are the files I downloaded...
dsl-0.7.3.iso
dsl-0.7.3.iso.txt <---This is the md5 file as text
frugal_lite.sh
In what format would I Burn the md5? Is the extension .md5 or something else?

Its an error correction utility...every file that your do a md5sum creates a fingerprint hash or a code that if you compare a file to the sum and its the same you can be assured the file you have is correct and not corrupted/virused/bogus

Its the same as a CRC check (cyclic redundancy check) $20 word but all it means is it checks to ensure what is sent is what is actually recieved

Cyclic redundancy checking is a method of checking for errors in data that has been transmitted on a communications link
