Hi all.  Genuine Newbie here.  I am going to try to put a very old computer to use solely as an MP3 player.  The computer is a K6/2 300 with 64 mb Ram and 4.2 GB HD.  The Video card is a Diamond Viper 550 and the sound card is an On Board chipset that I will have to determine when I get home from work.  A friend recommended DSL but warned that I may want to get one of the older versions due to my K6/2.  Make sense?  If this is true, which would you recommend?  Thanks!

try the latest version, it should work fine on that rig.

Although there are always growing pains when major changes occur (like a new kernel or bootloader) DSL only gets better.

The newest version is always the best.

I agree, just having to re-install to keep up is a pain! hehe
