OK, I went into my BIOS and changed the boot order so that it would boot from the CD, but I get a message saying "Booting from ATAPI CD-ROM: Failure", and it goes on to boot Win95 from the hard drive. What's up?

Did this CD work previously? If not, it's possible you burned the cd incorrectly. You have to burn the cd as an image, not as a data cd.

This is the first time I tried using it, and yes, it was burned as an image.

Is it possible that the disc wasn't finalized when it was burned? Would a boot floppy help?

Also, when I browse D:, all I see is index.html and three folders: boot, knoppix, and lost+found. Is there something missing?

EDIT: This is what ISObuster shows:

You may want to try using a boot floppy, and set up your bios to boot from the floppy. If you dont know how to make one, all you have to do is get the boot disk image, which you can get where you download the iso. I'm pretty sure < this is the current boot image >. Then, if you are in windoze, you find a program called rawwrite (google it) to write the image to a floppy.

I don't think the disk needs to be finalized as long as the session is closed. However, I could be wrong on this. I read somewhere that older hardware may have trouble reading CD-RW media, so if you are using that, you may want to try a CD-R instead.

Thanks, I'll try that as soon as I find a floppy.
