How possible is it with a Pent 75 and around 85 MB of RAM?
What would the best way to go about it be?

Thanks

np problem cpu and memory-wise.
more critical is devices(hard drive, scsi/ide card, network card, etc.)

best to list your hardware and/or search on "linux supported hardware list" here, google groups, and the like..

there may be a hardware list in this site somewhere, but I haven't seen it yet..

cheers

You probably also need a boot diskette (http://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/damnsmall/current/boot-0.8.0.img) as this old pc most likely cannot boot from the cd drive.
