Hi there everyone, I've just started using linux recently. Right now im running DSL 0.9.1 on a machine with mandrake 10.0 and im loving it. I do have a few problems with DSL. I have a cheap KVM switch that has each port connected to a manual 2 position switch. When i switch out of linux (mandrake and dsl) and go back my mouse and keyboard is frozen. Is there a way i can get around this or should I buy a better KVM?

Also, I have DSL burned onto a normal CD+RW. Is it possible to add other linux apps to this cd and use them with DSL?

Thanks in advance for the help. Looking forward to playing with linux more

I can't help with you manual KVM problem but I can tell you about two KVM's that I've used.

I have a two port Trendnet KVM and a four port Zonet KVM.  Both work just fine with Windows(98se and XPhome/pro) and Linux (DSL). 2 port was about US$20 and 4port was US$40. Bought them on a sale at Newegg.com.  They "hot switch".  By pressing a few keyboard keys I can switch from one machine to the other. Both came with cables to connec to the machine (many do not come with the cables).  If you are running in very, very high resolutions (way above 1024x768) then you might experience a "ghosting" problem.  I've never have seen it but I've heard about it.

Good luck
