I use my DSL CD on a lot of different computers with some of it having exotic hardware. Today, I had to boot DSL on a PC with a strange serial mouse (netmouse?) that isn't supported in DSL. I dropped out of the GUI to do the file copy I had to do. Lucky it was something simple! But I would like to know is Fluxbox supports keyboard shortcuts when there is no mouse available. Is there a way to simulate mouse movement / clicks with the keyboard?

I'm not sure about this, but I know that the latest install I did of X (on a non DSL system) has a program that starts up at startup of X and its basically an accessibility tool...Its kind of like "Accessibility Options" in WinXP/ME where you can use the numpad to move the cursor...I know for a fact this exists, because I've used it several times...But as I'm not in X a lot, and X doesn't mean a lot to me...I cannot for the life of me remember anything about it other than yes, it exists and comes with X on some distribution (I forget which one)...

Hope this helps...FTR, I have heard of a program called bbkeys that allows keyboard shortcuts for blackbox (will it work with fluxbox? is there a clone? i dunno.)

Fluxbox has a built-in key grabber.  /home/dsl/.fluxbox/keys allows you to set hotkeys for whatever purpose you want, including the manipulation of windows.

The keygrabber might be just what I needed. I'll try that.

Thanks!
