ok I right click then click install on my RPM file and this window pops up and asks me for some password

RPM?
DSL is Debian based, which means DEB, not RPM.
Please give more info about the trouble you are having...what are you trying to install, what are you right-clicking on, etc.

Unless you are fairly familiar with Linux I wouldn't recommend installing an rpm into DSL. You will need an app called alien to convert the rpm and then be familiar with dpkg and apt to convert the file and resolve dependencies.

Please give more info as mikshaw suggested and we'll see if we can help you out.
