i'm trying to install this

i'm getting an error when i try to use the make command.

Code Sample

make: *** No rule to make target `joystick.c', needed by `joystick.o'. Stop.

i'm pretty sure it has to do with editing the makefile included in the tar but i'm a noob and need to be pointed in the right direction.
